The Edit Menu allows showing / hiding selected nodes
 Show only Selected in Graph
Show only selected entities in the graph. Entities may be selected by selecting nodes in the graph or rows in tables.

Rows selected in the tables correspond to entities which in turn correspond to nodes that will be added to the graph.
